Having started the season in April 2011 with a handicap of 10, Matthew from Cheshire by mid – September 2011 was down to a 5 handicap On his reduction Matthew had a variety of successes, from internal Club events at his Golf Club's of Sandiway & Portal scoring regularly in the mid 70's gross, to winning the GOLF SOCIETY OF GREAT BRITAIN'S Junior Masters & was part of the Portal Golf Club Team who finished 3 rd in the Mid Cheshire Golf League With his achievements Matthew was requested recently to attend an English Golf Union (EGU) assessment day & has now been selected for the North West of England's under 16 squad team of 10 ,at the tender age of 13 \ “Matthew has worked very hard since April on the aspects I have requested, these have included, swing & short game developments , course management, with the emphasis on learning how to play / score along with the acceptance of whatever shot result you have. Matthew has come of age during this summer & his selection to the under 16's EGU North West of England squad is well-deserved , especially as he is only 13 & just adds the final touch to what has been an excellent season for Matthew “ |

Matthew Myers, one of the Graham Moore's development programme members from the North West has started the season in excellent form having reduced his handicap by 3 in a week To cap off an impressive start to the season Matthew played in the Cheshire Union Junior Team Championships representing Portal Golf Club & helped the Team to a runners up spot, having amassed 39 points on his own to come in runner up also in the individual section He has now been asked to attend a Cheshire County Team selection day on the Wirral Matthew will follow in the footsteps of over 350 juniors who Graham Moore FPGA works or has worked with over many years to the County ranks & beyond “Matthew has worked hard over the winter & spring with me , he has developed well on all the aspects of his game and with his continued development programme structure in place will obtain more success through the remainder of the coming year”, |
