part of the GM individual junior coaching programme

Having started the season in April 2011 with a handicap of 10, Matthew from Cheshire by mid – September 2011 was down to a 5 handicap

On his reduction  Matthew had a variety of successes, from internal Club events at his Golf Club's of Sandiway & Portal scoring regularly in the mid 70's gross, to winning the GOLF SOCIETY OF GREAT BRITAIN'S Junior Masters & was part of the Portal Golf Club Team who finished 3 rd in the Mid Cheshire Golf League

With his achievements Matthew was requested recently to attend an English Golf Union (EGU) assessment day & has now been selected for the North West of England's under 16 squad team of 10 ,at the tender age of 13 \

“Matthew has worked very hard since April on the aspects I have requested, these have included, swing & short game developments , course management, with the emphasis on learning how to play / score along with the acceptance of whatever shot result  you have. Matthew has come of age during this summer & his selection to the under 16's EGU North West of England squad is  well-deserved , especially as he is only 13 & just adds the final touch to what has been an excellent season for Matthew “
