Ben Richards & Rhys Nevin fought for the title of GM National Junior Golf Tour representative in the Junior World Championships in San Diego 2009

The play off took place on the 27 the October at Portal Championship - Tarporley Cheshire

Maria quote “Both players have displayed an exquisite & creative game of golf, both fought for every single shot, no one gave up an inch, it was very exciting & interesting match to follow, both were very composed & positive throughout the whole game.

This match lasted 4 hours in a very inclement weather conditions, both earned the place to participate in San Diego but one has to win it.

I felt very honoured to referee this match, and the true was that it was very close and could it go either way, but at the end Ben raced with victory in a traditional fashion

Is the second year that I referee a play off to determinate the winner of an age group that will travel to California as part of the GM TEAM
