The first round of the GM Junior Golf Tour UK Callaway World Championships Qualifier Q-2 at Wychwood Park it has been nothing but exciting, pleasant & competitive.
The players and families started the day with great spirit, enthusiasm and familiar atmosphere, you could see everybody talking to everybody and players that haven't see each other for a while they were really happy to meet again and share the day with us
The ambience was relaxed but the players were a bit nervous with the importance of the tournament as all they want to win and be part of the already legendary GM TEAM and go to San Diego representing United Kingdom, THIS IS SERIOUS !!!!!
The GM TEAM headed by Graham Moore FPGA & Executive Director of GM Tour, Simon Dewsbury PGA, part of the Administration Team & Event Coordinator, Daniel Cullen PGA Level 1 Maintenance & IT Administrator & Maria Alzo-Miquel PGA Level 1 Administration Manager & Network Systems were taking care of the players ensuring everything was running smoothly
The Weather certainly was with us and the scores produced were reflecting the good quality of our players as Wychwood Park is very long and undulated course and is rated one of the most difficult courses in UK
As you can see the some of the players are in contention for tomorrow this tournament is not over yeat so good luck guys for tomorrow and have a great night
Three players missed today this tournament KATERINA VLASINOVA coming all the way from the CZECH REPUBLIC, ALFREDO CURBISHLEY from Spain they are stranded their flights to Manchester has been cancelled because the Ash phenomenon
The third player missing was DYLAN MAHMOT, regretfully couldn't make the trip over here to play with us as Dylan went down ill on Friday
We wish to the three players that they were here with us and participate in this magnificent event we really upset about the inconveniences that this ash has caused to you also we wish Dylan soon recovery and you all be on Tour very soon
