Press Release

Emma's dreams come true

Emma Goddard aged 16 one of Graham Moore's Development Programme pupils from Halewood, Liverpool has reached new heights during 2007

Recently she won the girls under 18's division in the Faldo Series European Grand Final at Celtic Manor scoring 221 over 3 rounds, three ahead of her nearest rival

Prior to this, Emma successfully defended her GM National Junior Golf Tour Order of Merit in her age group for the third year in succession with a scoring average of 73 gross against an average course standard scratch of 73

Emma established a new course record for Ladies at the Gower Golf Club in Swansea, Wales scoring a 4 under par 68 and Emma also bettered her existing course record by one @ Knights Grange Golf Course in Cheshire posting a level par 70 during Captains Day with Vale Royal Millennium Junior Only Golf Club

Emma finished runner up in the Memorial Olivier Barras Tournament which is part of the Alps Tour in Crans – Sur –Sierre in Switzerland scoring 74 in the final round

Emma also played again in the Callaway World Junior Golf Championships in San Diego as a GM Tour qualifier finishing in 61 position

Emma has reduced her handicap by 2 shots during 2007 to reach one of her dreams of becoming a scratch golfer

As the reigning European Faldo Series Girls Champion Emma has received an invitation to compete in the Asian Grand Final at Mission Hills in China in December this year

Moore Quotes “ Emma has worked with me since she was 9 years old when she attended The Golf Foundation supported lessons that I run regularly. On graduating from my Academies due to her ability Emma has worked with me on one of my individual Development Programmes and her true grit and determination coupled with many long hours of practice on her technique, course management & mental skills have enabled her to achieve all that she has to date

The best is yet to come !!!

Emma has gained the majority of her experience initially at club level with VRMJGC, then the GM UK wide Junior Golf Tour in the summer months and Professional Mini Tours in Florida during a few weeks each winter

So, when she is faced with challenging courses it is not a surprise to her as the GM Tour plays the majority of its events over Championship venues

Emma's two outings at the Callaway World Junior Championships have been a little disappointing on the results side, but on the other hand have been very important character building experiences which will continue to be shown in all her future events

Emma will continue her development under my guidance and I have already secured a place for her at Colorado State University (CSU) from January 2010

Emma is a great ambassador for GRAHAM MOORE INT GOLF SCHOOLS / GM JUNIOR GOLF TOUR & VALE ROYAL MILLENNIUM JUNIOR ONLY GOLF CLUB & a tremendous role model for all the juniors that I have the privilege to work with”

Emma Quotes “I cannot thank Maria & Graham enough for all the opportunities & support that they have given me since I was 9 years old. Graham for all his coaching, encouragement, psychology & course management skills along with his worldwide experience in the game of golf , as without these I would not be where I am today and I know that my continued work with Graham will enable me to reach my next goal of becoming a professional golfer once I have finished my education @ Colorado State University (CSU). My playing ability has improved since Graham formed V.R.M.J.G.C. in 2001 (The Worlds only Junior Golf Club which proudly I have to say I am the 2007 Captain) & his formation of GM National Junior Golf Tour in 2004 /2005 has enabled me to compete on Top Class courses and obtain entries to play in the Callaway World Junior Championships in San Diego

To my Mum and Dad, Ann & Tony I cannot put into words what I want to express, but all the luxuries that you have gone without in helping me achieve my dreams I will remember for the rest of my life. I will make you more proud of me in the future "
